I LOVE YOU

In the beginning God created He fashioned and sculpted The Lord gave His best Till His masterpiece was made His work was finished The job had ended May brought her forth A damsel was born She increased and grew Raised in cloaks of glory Wisdom wrapped her round Discretion marked her out Brighter than the glorious sun She’s a wonder to behold Her name is beauty Simply irresistible Hotter than the midday heat Her figure is amazing Curvier than the hourglass She is so worth many looks Now I am smitten Enraptured by the girl My heart brims with love It’s all about her Jesus be praised He has given me His own Now dear belle Know this deep within I Love You

OMALICHA

The oil freely flowed  His heart burned within The people would bear witness What a sermon this would be The delivery had begun God's word in power But he looked up and beheld He beheld an awesome wonder Oh yes , there she was Wrapped in cloaks of glory She sat as doth the virtuous Unassuming as the evening breeze He preached on and on But glanced again and again Her mien was irresistible Mr Preacher was dazed Down from the podium he came Hot in earnest pursuit In godly yet intense chase He just won't be stopped! Alas she was caught Caught never to escape again Wrapped safely in his arms She was his dream come true It's 17 years today Of love and respect And of passion yet undying Now he would have All know He loves his OMALICHA

Till My Change Comes

Birds are chirping, leaves are rustling Skies above are lit aglow My heart yet is burdened This weight is too heavy In directions aplenty I turned I have gone far a-searching Give me balm to ease my pain Somebody, please soothe me again On my knees I have wrestled My eyes awash with tears I sought Him night and day Alas help seemed far away Their voices rang and they screamed 'Curse God and then perish" But how shall I forsake Him He who performs all for me On my watch I will stand My heart will yet abide I must wait for Him Wait till my change comes

Free Again

To the left I wondered, to the right I pondered, How far from God I had wandered, Sin gripped me so strong, It beat me as a metal gong I tried my will and its power, Yet crippled by iniquity in its hour, My heart fought as doth a gallant, Alas, I was still sin's tenant Oh its fetters are so great, Daily I fall for its bait, Who shall deliver me from this pain? Will I again be made sane? Suddenly I felt HIS arm, Warm around me with such calm, It was the love of my Father, That love that gives me swagger The chains are off, the shackles broken, From my slumber I am woken, Free again, free again, By Love, I am free again.

The Damsel

With Queenly stride she walks, And with soft speech she talks Filled with royal blood, Unmistakably adorable is she Her looks kill Her presence thrills, Her demeanour enraptures the heart, And her smile pierces a very soul When you see a girl beautiful, Mama taught, Look no more than once, Lest your heart gets caught, In the web of passion But how shall I avoid a second glance, And a third and a fourth, For this damsel seems hard to ignore, Oh, what wonder of creation is this! The stars shine in awe, The moon effusive in its praise, The elements acknowledge your sublime beauty, Oh, how the sun wishes it were you. Be it known to you, O daughter so lovely, That in my sight, Thou art Highly Esteemed, And thou art Loved

My Family

The alarm rings loud The chicken crows proud The Sun announces the dawn Alas, a new day has come Nonetheless my heart is weary Weighed down by thoughts so eerie How long shall this be And troubles flood me as doth a sea Sadness saturates my thoughts As I chew some at some nuts For there are yet battles unfought And oceans that must be crossed Suddenly, The Father sends me ANGELS To my rescue comes HIS girls ‘Hi, Dr Emeka’, quips TinTin ‘My, you look so beaten’      Biola adds, ‘Please  Bishop, smile’ And now, I look better by a mile! ‘Lady T’ encourages my soul And gives me hope on a roll This is a tribute so fitting For them is this poem written I will rise to pray for them early For indeed, they are My Family

Her Swag

Sullen and morose she walked Lost in thoughts of despair Her mind bore great weights And her heart ached sore She imagined the future Stricken with uncertainty and fear She thought and thought And worried and worried The folds on her skin scared her She feared for her tummy's size "Dear Lord, please", she asked "Deliver me from all this" But her Maker smiled wide He looked down and laughed For she knew not His plans Plans of good not evil Through the night's silence He called "You are the Most Beautiful "The Most Wonderful of my works "Trust me", He said "Thou art still full of charm" He serenaded her soul In sweet song of the night Her joy had returned And her mien lively again Now behold her step Wielding her hips in glorious sway Flaunting those curves enchantingly O yes, she's got it back She got back her swag!

Eyes On You

It was on the month's first day, I looked, I saw you, I beheld with great awe, Just couldn't get my eyes off you I purposed not to look aplenty, Tried keeping my eyes away, But the more the effort, The more I got my eyes on you You are God's epitome of Beauty, Nature's answer to man's call, The beautiful one is truly born, And all eyes are fixed on you You make beauty look simple Angelic in poise, gracious in step, You are altogether awesome, Oh, can I get my eyes off you? I denied the feeling, Pretended it meant nothing, But now I confess, My eyes have been on you Your virtue overwhelms me, You are my dreams personified, My wishes crystallized, These eyes can't get off you The past year is gone, A new one is here, Yet one thing remaineth, My eyes are still on you

House of Royals

It was a land so barren Full of thistles, full of thorns Beasts of the wild had their way Oh, how dreadful was this place Then El-Shaddai arose so sovereign His strategy yet unknown In command rang His voice "Now, go build me a house" Thus set out the army A company of the weak yet strong With minds rugged and hearts that sang "Yes, yes we can" The hammer and the axe joined forces A block here and a rod there A land once fallow Now reeked honey and milk Oh, such is the passion How great the desire As the little ones give their mite And the saints build The House Elohim has arisen to bless Now let the people be still This shall be the place of Greater Glory And it shall be called The House of Royals

Here At Last

HERE AT LAST It sounded different, With the inflection of the learned, And the smoothness of velvet, Her voice was altogether lovely A few words we exchanged, Only via the phone, Yet I struggled to hide my admiration, For without doubt was I in awe of her So set I out for, On this journey I began, To behold the form that spoke so softly, And find the one that had become so dear Oh, there she stood, Innocence and Beauty in warm embrace, With a complexion that lit me up, And a smile that made me smile "Good Afternoon", she greeted, "My name is Nancy", she added, But lost was I in awe, At the wonder that stood before me A bundle of virtue is she, Integrity is who she is, Now let the faithful men come, And seek the hand of this one so rare May Jesus so good be praised, For I know now, That the beautiful ones are indeed born, And the woman of virtue, is Here at Last
